The Restorative Practices Orientation course is back, this time on EdPuzzle! The 2021-2022 school year is the perfect time to incorporate social and emotional learning into your instruction. After last year, the need has never been greater. Students need to feel safe, heard, connected, and understood before they can learn. This course covers the foundational principles and philosophy behind restorative practices, but does not teach how to do the actual practices themselves. Videos and instructions on the practices are available by request or you may learn them by attending the RP strand. If you do, you'll want to take this course BEFORE the strand to ensure you have the background knowledge you’ll need. If you took the Canvas version previously, feel free to take this as a refresher whether you plan to attend the RP strand or not. This version uses the same videos as the original. Reviewing the philosophy underpinning RP now and then can help us be more effective practitioners!
